Green bin collection happens weekly throughout Lakeshore on Wednesday (except on weeks with a holiday). Green bin collection takes place from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Garbage will continue to be picked up weekly by area. Check out the map of Garbage Collection Areas for more information.

Upcoming Changes to Recycling Collection

Starting in January 2026, recycling collection will no longer be a municipal (EWSWA) responsibility. Circular Materials will be the new administrator across Ontario and they have hired Green For Life Environmental Inc. (GFL) to provide residential curbside collection.

Information in the 2024 Collection Calendar remains the same, but residents must have their recycling out by 6:00 AM.

Read the fact sheet about the changes.
